The
PlayStation VR2 Sense controller is a controller that can recognize the
position / movement of your hand.
With this controller, you can simulate
throwing / batting a ball as if it were real.
To throw the ball, hold down
the trigger (L2 / R2) and swing your arm, then release the trigger when you
are ready to release the ball.

Defense and base running are basically automatic, but pickoffs
and stealing bases can be controlled by the player.
The strength of the
COM (computer) is set at 10 levels, but can be set more finely in the
advanced settings (exhibition).
There are 5 teams to choose from.

Baseball Dreams VR has smooth motion as the screen refreshes 90 times
per second.
Also, since the game is basically played in a stationary
state, it is a VR game that makes it relatively difficult to get drunk.
*There are individual differences in VR sickness. It is not guaranteed
that you will not get sick.

There are
four game modes as follows
1. Challenge
This is the main mode
in which you play against 5 other teams.
The medal you win
depends on the number of retries you make.

2. Mini Challenge
Two mini-games.
There are also leaderboards
(world ranking).
Home Run Challenge
Compete for the number of
home runs / flying distance with 10 pitches.

Pitching Challenge
This is a mini-game where you have to hit 25 panels
with the fewest number of pitches possible.

3. Exhibition
Play a game with your favorite team and difficulty
level.
4. Practice
This is a mode to practice pitching and
batting.

By setting the assist, you can make the play feel more like
real baseball or more casual.
In the casual setting, you can make the
ball 10 times bigger or hit it lightly for a home run.
In the pitching
setting, you can also set the ball to throw strikes no matter where you
throw it.

A wide range of options are available for game, displays,
sounds, etc.

You can choose from three different dominant arms: “right”, ‘left’, and
“baseball player's dominant arm”.
Left-handed players can also play without
problems.

If the computer play is too mechanical, it is boring.
Baseball Dreams VR uses an AI KALMOF
to make the COM play as natural and
human-like as possible.

Magnus Effect
As the ball moves forward while
spinning, its trajectory changes due to the Magnus Effect.
This magnus
force is simulated to reproduce fast ball / slider / fork ball types.
9,000 Collision Detections Per Second
A 93MPH ball travels about
136 feet per second.
Baseball Dreams VR runs at 90 frames per second,
so the ball advances about 18 inches per frame.
Since collision
detection would be very rough if it were performed only once per frame,
Baseball Dreams VR performs collision detection 100 times per frame.
Batting is performed by calculating the angle, speed, friction, etc. of the
ball and bat,
reproducing realistic behavior through physics
calculations.
